Ukraine produced 1.8 mln tonnes of grains
As of July 5, Ukrainian agrarians harvested early grains and leguminous plants throughout the areas of 650 thsd ha from the forecast of 11.4 mln ha (6% of the forecast), and produced 1.8 mln tonnes of grains with the average yield of 28.1 c/ha (in 2010 - 24.6 c/ha), reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. Agrarians harvested winter barley throughout the areas of 562 thsd ha (47%), produced 1.6 mln tonnes of the grain with the average yield of 28.1 c/ha (24.4 c/ha). Ukraine started harvesting winter wheat and completed the areas of 22 thsd ha, produced 71 thsd tonnes of the grain with the average yield of 32 c/ha (27.5 c/ha).
