Suntory Forms Partnership With South Korea’s Oriental Brewery
Suntory Holdings Ltd., Japan’s third- largest brewer, formed a partnership with KKR & Co.’s Oriental Brewery Co. unit to sell its premium beer in South Korea from today. Suntory will use Oriental Brewery’s distribution network to supply its Premium Malt’s beer, the Osaka-based company said in a statement today. Imported beer demand in South Korea has doubled in the past five years, according to Sapporo Holdings Ltd. Japanese brewers are trying to boost overseas sales as domestic beer shipments have fallen 2.8 percent this year.

22.05.12 - Ukraine is seeking to reach agreement with Saudi Arabia on supplying as much as 4 million metric tons of barley to the Middle East country, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said. Saudi officials will arrive in Ukraine next month to discuss an accord, Prysyazhnyuk said in a statement e-mailed yesterday. [more]
