SAB Miller aiming for beer with longer shelf life
Producing beer with a longer shelf life is one of the possibilities that will be investigated at a £2m research facility commissioned by SAB Miller. Announcing that a pilot brewery will be built within Nottingham University’s School of Biosciences, SAB Miller this week claimed the project would allow the global brewer to “push the boundaries of conventional brewing technology”.

Ukraine Seeks 4 Million-Ton Barley Agreement With Saudi Arabia
22.05.12 - Ukraine is seeking to reach agreement with Saudi Arabia on supplying as much as 4 million metric tons of barley to the Middle East country, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said. Saudi officials will arrive in Ukraine next month to discuss an accord, Prysyazhnyuk said in a statement e-mailed yesterday. [more]
