SABMiller, the company that recently acquired Foster’s has appointed a new chief executive for the brewer’s Australian operations. Ari Mervis, managing director of SABMiller Asia, who was the sponsor of the acquisition, will take on the position on Friday. His role will include managing the integration of Foster’s into the SABMiller group.

Ukraine Seeks 4 Million-Ton Barley Agreement With Saudi Arabia
22.05.12 - Ukraine is seeking to reach agreement with Saudi Arabia on supplying as much as 4 million metric tons of barley to the Middle East country, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said. Saudi officials will arrive in Ukraine next month to discuss an accord, Prysyazhnyuk said in a statement e-mailed yesterday. [more]
