Molson Coors to invest £175m in UK breweries
Molson Coors, the US drinks giant behind Carling lager and Doom Bar ale, is set to invest £175m its in breweries across the UK in a much-needed shot in the arm for Britain's beleagured beer industry. The company has committed to spend an extra £15m annually over the next five years developing Britain's biggest brewery – Molson Coors' site in Burton-on-Trent. The investment, which comes on top of existing capital plans, will be supplemented by a £5m spend on the Sharp's brewery in Cornwall and investment in the group's other two UK bases.

22.05.12 - Ukraine is seeking to reach agreement with Saudi Arabia on supplying as much as 4 million metric tons of barley to the Middle East country, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said.
