Kirin Brewery's quake-hit Sendai plant resumes production
Kirin Brewery Co. resumed beer production Monday at its plant in Sendai, Miyazaki Prefecture, more than six months after it was devastated by the March earthquake and tsunami. Restoration work at the plant commenced in early April, and workers cleaned the installations almost entirely by hand after disposing of spoiled bottled and canned beer stocks equivalent to 17 million 350 milliliter cans.

22.05.12 - Ukraine is seeking to reach agreement with Saudi Arabia on supplying as much as 4 million metric tons of barley to the Middle East country, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said.
