Heineken UK unveils two biomass plants
Heineken UK launched a new biomass plants at Royal Brewery in Manchester. The beer and cider company has also installed a second plant at John Smith's Brewery in Tadcaster. The investment in the two 4.7MW plants stands at around £35 million, which it claims makes it one of the largest single investments in renewable technology by a non-utility company in the UK.

Ukraine Seeks 4 Million-Ton Barley Agreement With Saudi Arabia
22.05.12 - Ukraine is seeking to reach agreement with Saudi Arabia on supplying as much as 4 million metric tons of barley to the Middle East country, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said. Saudi officials will arrive in Ukraine next month to discuss an accord, Prysyazhnyuk said in a statement e-mailed yesterday. [more]
