Heineken profit up 20 per cent in first half of 2009
Dutch brewer Heineken NV reported a 20 per cent increase in net profit for the first half of 2009 after booking a one-time gain on the repurchase of distressed debt at one of its subsidiaries. The net profit was US$700 million.

Ukraine Seeks 4 Million-Ton Barley Agreement With Saudi Arabia
22.05.12 - Ukraine is seeking to reach agreement with Saudi Arabia on supplying as much as 4 million metric tons of barley to the Middle East country, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said. Saudi officials will arrive in Ukraine next month to discuss an accord, Prysyazhnyuk said in a statement e-mailed yesterday. [more]
