Heineken invested 170 million euros in Russian beer plant
Heineken has invested more than 170 million euros in the expansion and modernization of its Russian "Volga" brewery plant located in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, local media reports. The production capacity of the plant has increased to more than 50 million decalitres of beer per year. The modernization has allowed Heineken to transfer to Nizhny Novgorod some of its premium beer brands, which previously were produced at the capacities of "Heineken Brewery" plant in St. Petersburg, such as “Heineken» and «Amstel».
