Germany: Radeberger Group considers price increases
Radeberger Group of Frankfurt, Germany, number one in the German beer market with famous premium brands such as Radeberger Pilsner, Jever and Binding, is still considering price increases. As Birte Kleppien, the brewery group's press spokesperson, said to the international business and technology newspaper Beverage Manager Global (August edition), the issue is by no means off the table, but is instead still on the agenda.
Not much was changed by the "critical observation" of the costs of raw materials and energy announced earlier in the year. It's true that the first half of the year went considerably better than initially expected, "but the year is not yet over". Press spokesperson Birte Kleppien confirmed this.
