Carlsberg Q1 profits, revenue up on Russian growth
Danish brewer Carlsberg says first-quarter profit grew to $33.3 million (173 million kroner) on increased sales and improvements in the Russian market. Net profit in January through March was up from 77 million kroner for the same period last year, with revenue growing 11 percent to $2.4 billion (12.5 billion kroner).

Ukraine Seeks 4 Million-Ton Barley Agreement With Saudi Arabia
22.05.12 - Ukraine is seeking to reach agreement with Saudi Arabia on supplying as much as 4 million metric tons of barley to the Middle East country, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said. Saudi officials will arrive in Ukraine next month to discuss an accord, Prysyazhnyuk said in a statement e-mailed yesterday. [more]
