Carlsberg profit down due to Russian beer tax
Danish brewer Carlsberg says its fourth-quarter net profit dropped 21 percent to 301 million kroner ($55.3 million), with sales in Russia slumping following an increase in the beer tax.
The result compared with a profit of 383 million kroner in the same three months a year earlier. Carlsberg on Monday posted revenues of 8.45 billion kroner ($1.55 billion) for the period, a slight increase from 8.41 billion kroner a year earlier.
