Beer-loving Africans increase SABMiller revenue
Global brewing giant SABMiller is increasingly confident about its businesses and prospects in Africa - to the extent that it has upped its medium-term projections for its Africa division. The company has invested $1.5 billion over the past four years in Angola, Mozambique and Tanzania – and now says it is focused on growth in Ethiopia, Nigeria and southern Sudan. Expectations for revenue per hectolitre growth have been increased from a range of 1 percent to 3 percent, to a range of 3 to 5 percent, subject to currency fluctuations.

22.05.12 - Ukraine is seeking to reach agreement with Saudi Arabia on supplying as much as 4 million metric tons of barley to the Middle East country, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said. Saudi officials will arrive in Ukraine next month to discuss an accord, Prysyazhnyuk said in a statement e-mailed yesterday. [more]
