Anheuser-Busch to spend $7.6 million on Lysander plant
Anheuser-Busch announced today that it would spend more than $7 million adding canning capacity to its plant on Route 31 and increase the brewery's production by 30 percent. General Manager Steve McCormick said the expansion will allow the brewery to can products it makes but currently ships away to be packaged. The new line will put about 15 different Anheuser-Busch brands in 24-ounce cans, McCormick said. The larger cans are increasingly popular, he said. According to the company, Anheuser-Busch has invested more than $304 million in the Lysander plant in the past 10 years.
