Anadolu Efes and SABMiller form strategic alliance
SABMiller plc and Anadolu Efes have agreed a strategic alliance for Turkey, Russia, the CIS, Central Asia and the Middle East. Under the terms, SABMiller to transfer its Russian and Ukrainian beer businesses to Anadolu Efes Anadolu Efes to transfer a 24% equity stake to SABMiller by way of a capital increase.

Ukraine Seeks 4 Million-Ton Barley Agreement With Saudi Arabia
22.05.12 - Ukraine is seeking to reach agreement with Saudi Arabia on supplying as much as 4 million metric tons of barley to the Middle East country, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said. Saudi officials will arrive in Ukraine next month to discuss an accord, Prysyazhnyuk said in a statement e-mailed yesterday. [more]
